Celebrations are a fun way we express life. Even in the middle of the last week of Jesus’ life, he and his disciples celebrated the Passover, looking back at the salvation God brought the Hebrews.
Maybe it’s time to throw a party to celebrate God in your days. Here are some ideas:
Have a “Spiritual Birthday Party” for yourself and your family. Invite friends who know Jesus as their Savior. Light candles on a cake and swap stories of how you came to believe in Jesus.
Celebrate the Bible’s role in your life with Scripture Exchange. Ask your friends to think of a Bible verse that God is currently using in their lives. Have them write it on a card. Place all the cards together and draw them out one at a time, asking each person to tell their story.
Mark the meaning of marriage with a couples’ marriage shower. Share stories and lessons of married life. Invite each couple to bring wedding mementos, photographs, or their wedding video.
When you take time to celebrate God’s work in your days, your own faith deepens as does the faith of those who are with you!
